Quick Start

Here's the full flow from fresh install to games on your handheld.

1. Import your ROMs

Click Import ROMs and point ROMie at the folder where your ROMs live. It'll scan everything, match games against the RetroAchievements database, and add them to your library. This takes a minute or two depending on how many games you have.

See Importing ROMs for more detail on how this works.

2. Tag your games

Tags are how you decide which games get synced to your device. Think of them like playlists.

Open any game and add a tag, something like "MiyooMini" or "Weekend Games". You can tag as many games as you want, and a game can have multiple tags.

See Tags for more.

3. Add your device

Plug in your SD card, then go to Devices and click Add Device. Pick a name, select the firmware profile that matches what's on your device (Onion, muOS, Knulli, etc.), and point ROMie at your SD card's mount point.

See Adding a Device if you get stuck.

4. Sync

Open your device, select the tags you want to sync, and hit Sync. ROMie copies the games to the right folders for your firmware, handles file naming, and cleans up any leftover system junk when it's done.

Eject your SD card, put it in your handheld, and you're good to go.
